The NEW website is HERE!
We’re so excited about the NEW website and here is why!!! It’s going to make it so much easier to keep up with online auctions, upcoming events, and just keeping you informed about what’s new with Flea Market Rescue. We switched over from a Wordpress website, which was so hard to work with, so I’m really excited about this new website! Like I said, it’s going to be so much easier!
So, what can you expect this year???? Online auctions!!! Yes, after trying out the Whatnot platform, we’ve decided to go back to doing our monthly online auctions right here on the website!!! Although, we loved interacting with everyone on Whatnot…we found that it was more work for us and we didn’t sell as much as we normally do when we hold our online auctions right here on our website. I think the website is easier to use! Everyone knows how to buy things on a website! Also, another factor is Whatnot takes 11% of your sales, so again…it just wasn’t worth it to us. So, when will online shopping start? Our first online sale will be on: February 22, 2024, which is a Thursday at 5:00 PM (EST). We’re going to have a lot of GREAT stuff for you, so we hope you’ll tune in!
Also, just a reminder in the month of February our store has limited hours. We will only be open on Saturdays from the hours of 11-5. The reason for that is that our store is located in the country and in Michigan we get a lot of snow and ice during those months, so I’m not sure how many people will be willing to travel in the bad weather. We will, however, go back to regular hours in March. We will have a OPEN HOUSE in March with a lot of WONDERFUL Spring items! The Spring Open House is scheduled for March 23, 2023. This year look for more Trash to Treasure projects with Jenny coming and I and of course more shopping!!! We’re hoping my mom will be back in action very soon….so, we’re anxiously awaiting for her to recover!!! That is going to be one GREAT episode with her back!!! We’ve all missed her so much and I know you have, too!
We will definitely be going to Springfield again this year….so, make sure you mark your calendars for September!!! (Please see the EVENTS page for more details) We had so much fun meeting all of you last year and can’t wait to meet all of you who come this year!!!
For those of you who do not know….we launched Flea Market Rescue Merchandise in November, which has been a big hit! It was only offered in our Etsy shop but now you can purchase it right here on our website!!! Yay!!! We have T-Shirts, Sweatshirts, bags and mugs!
